How to setup windows 11 using local account bypassing Microsoft account requirement during initial setup 2025

 

As of late 2025 Microsoft Windows 11 most editions require a Microsoft account and an internet connection to complete the initial setup

 

Follow this guide to bypass these requirements and setup using local account instead

I

n this guide we are using the Windows 11 Pro 25H2 Build 26200.6725 version

 

After windows installation completed successfully and system booted up


Pick the preferred region and keyboards language the setup will download updates and rebooting again

Continue follow the setup steps





When you get to the step where it ask for a Microsoft account to continue

Press shift + f10 this will bring up the command prompt

 

Type in the following command start ms-cxh:localonly

This will bring up setting up local user account setup

Enter your intended info and  answers all questions to proceed as usual

Now you can use win11 using local user instead of online Microsoft account
