Issue with running FUP update with 24 OR 32 pcs RDIMM on R1520G6 and R2520G6


This FUP FW package can update normally when using 2, 8, or 16 pcs RDIMM modules configuration.
The update will fail with “BmcLibInitialize returned failed” error messages during loading ipmi.efi driver when the memory configuration is set to 24 or 32 pcs RDIMMs.
Below is the photo of error messages shown when update fail. This can happen during BIOS, BMC, or CPLD image update.

The following is the memory population table, which you can refer to set the appropriate memory configuration.

Note:

1. This firmware package supports GNR-SP and SRF-SP CPUs.  

2. After the update, please load the BMC defaults and reboot the system, for some fixes will only take effect after restoring the BMC default.

3. After update, please boot the system to the OS because the BIOS version on the BMC Web only be updated after POST ends.

4. Updating the system version using the FUP takes approximately 50+ minutes.
