Why Samsung PM9A3 M.2 NVMe device family does not appear in FRU list. (MiTAC R2520G6, R2513G6 and D50DNP)
Question:
Samsung PM9A3 M.2 NVMe device family does
not appear in FRU list. (MiTAC R2520G6, R2513G6 and D50DNP)
Andwer:
Samsung PM9A3 family does not follow the
Intel FRU protocol, so the BMC cannot read the FRU; this is a known issue.
Symptom:
1.
Samsung PM9A3 M.2 NVMe device
does not appear in “ipmitool fru” command.
2.
But can display temperature in
BMC sensor or “ipmitool sdr” command.
